HR professionals are caught between leadership expectations and employee needs, often managing workplace tension that can erode engagement, trust, and culture.

Former TV news anchor Nicole Phillips shares how shifting her focus from what’s wrong to what’s right transformed her perspective. In this interactive session, participants will learn to assess workplace culture, interrupt reactive thinking, challenge assumptions, and navigate difficult conversations with greater empathy and confidence.

Attendees will leave with practical tools, including a five-question culture audit, a three-step mindset reset, and communication strategies to strengthen psychological safety, build trust, and lead through change.

Meet our Speaker:

Nicole Phillips spent years in TV news getting paid to look for what was wrong. Then in 2011 she started writing a weekly kindness column and had to go looking for what was going right. Same town, same people, completely different place.

She's been teaching that shift ever since. A five-time author and host of The Kindness Podcast, named a top happiness podcast by Oprah magazine, Nicole has spoken at more than 200 events to over 30,000 people, helping teams notice differently, respond more calmly, and believe in what's possible without ignoring what's hard.
